Okay Houstonians! Get your forks ready and dig in! Houston Restaurant Weeks, established in 2003, is a month long dining experience with cooperating Houston restaurants. Each restaurant sets out menus ranging between $20 – $45 depending on the number of courses, then the restaurant donates proceeds to the Houston Food Bank. This is a great fundraiser where Houstonians can learn and experience different restaurants around the city while also providing meals to help the less fortunate. A single 3-4 course dinner can generate up to 21 meals. Needless to say all of us at Urban Leasing and Realty are excited for this event! Here is ULR’s guide to to best restaurants for Houston Restaurant Weeks 2014. The Heights: Kris Bistro & Wine Lounge inside Culinary Institute LeNôtre: This is brokers, Jessica St. John’s pick. She loves the fact that the kitchen is set up so guests can watch the students hard at work creating delectable dishes. Since Kris Bistro was the top pick for last year’s HRW, the menus should not disappoint. Click here for the HRW menu. The Galleria/Uptown: Éroile Cuisine et Bar: Agent Stacie Giroux is most excited for this menu because of her love of French cooking. The seafood selection catches her eye since she only eats seafood, no land animals. You can find her here eating the scrumptious Sole “meunière,” check out the other dining options here. Arcodoro Ristorante Italiano: Angel Fultz cannot wait to dine here, she thinks “if you haven’t had their Rissotto al Langostine, you simply won’t die happy. It’s an off menu item available seasonally when the crustacean is available. Actually, the whole menu changes often as spices, vegetables and meats are flown in fresh from the owner’s home of Sardinia. If you’re on a budget, saddle up to the bar for a Margherita Pizza fresh from their wood burning oven.” Read more about their HRW menu.
