1. DALLAS WINTER BOAT EXPO
The Dallas Winter Boat Expo, presented by the United Boat Dealers of North Texas, docks the latest models of marine accessories and boats, from runabouts and family cruisers, to fishing boats, ski boats, pontoons and sailboats all in one place. The Dallas Winter Boat Expo is a nautical dream event for avid boaters and curious families alike. Guests will get their first look at next generation boats, technologies and products during this signature winter event.

2. CUPID’S UNDIE RUN
This February, be a part of Cupid’s Undie Run, a “brief,” mile(ish) fun run that takes place in the middle of a BIG party – all to find a cure for neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic tumor disorder that affects 1 in every 3,000 births. “We run in our undies because those affected with NF can’t cover up their tumors to feel more comfortable, so why should we?”

RED VELVET CRINKLE COOKIES
This month is Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re spending the day with someone or just yourself, this tasty treat will make anyone’s day a little sweeter.
INGREDIENTS

2 cups all purpose flour

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp kosher salt

1/4 tsp cream of tarter

1/2 cup (1 stick) Country Crock baking sticks
- 3/4 cups granulated sugar
-
2 large eggs
-
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350° and line 2 baking sheets with parchment. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
- In another large bowl using a hand mixer, beat Country Crock Baking Sticks and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time and beat after each addition then add vanilla and red food coloring. Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Roll about 1 tablespoon of dough into a ball, then roll ball in powdered sugar. Repeat with remaining dough then roll each ball in powdered sugar again.
- Arrange balls about 1″ apart on prepared baking sheets and bake until cookies have flattened and set in the middle, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on trays 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to let cool completely.
