2014 ULR Food Drive & Kick-Off Event

November 1 marks the kick off of the 2014 ULR Food Drive for the Women’s Home of Houston!

The Women’s Home has assisted women in need get back on their feet through their remarkable “Whole Life Program” for over 55 years. Last year, ULR learned that many of the women in the program often have to make the difficult decision of buying food for the month, or purchasing basic necessities like toilet paper. Through the help of the community we collected over 1400 items last year, and we are looking to stock their pantry with even more this year. The drive will run through the month of November, and clients and friends are encouraged to donate anything they can to help out. With the help of several of our friends, donation boxes are set up all over town for easy drop off of your canned items and toiletries.

Join us as we start the drive off in style at the ULR Fall Happy Hour. Clients, friends, and agents will be toasting to the drive on Wednesday, November 5th at the Stone’s Throw Lounge (417 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006) from 5:30-8. Guests will enjoy complimentary appetizers and drink specials all night. For every canned food item you bring, you will be entered into a raffle for 1 of 3 awesome prizes!!
