Hello Houston, we have a little life update for y’all!
Kick-Off for the Women’s Home Food Drive
This year we decided to mix up our seasonal happy hour by combining it with our annual Women’s Home Food Drive and boy was it a success! We hosted our event at Present Company and it was the best one we had yet. If you haven’t been to Present Company, you need to check it out. Only being a couple of months open, this is easily one of Houstonian’s favorite place to get funky with it. Every corner is perfectly designed with your Instagram account in mind. I mean there’s David Bowie wallpaper on the ceiling in the bathroom! It’s safe to say this is probably the coolest spot we’ve hosted at, but what was cooler, was the outcome.
This year, we put some boxes together and gathered some raffle tickets and set out with one mission: to get as many donations as possible. For every canned good or dollar donated, a raffle ticket with your name was put into the drawing for a $100 gift card to Burger Joint. We rolled into the office this morning with a car full of donations and $120 in cash donations!!! It was indeed a great way to kick off this drive. Thank you to every one of agents, clients, and friends that showed up to support this cause. We also would like to congratulate our winner to at least a month’s worth of burgers to Talia Gerber! Houston’s Best Place to Work-2nd Place!
If you haven’t heard…we got the 2nd Best Place to Work in Houston! There were a little over 20 companies competing the title, and we came up on top. Founded 9 years ago, co-owners, Jessica and Scott built and grew a small real estate company to employing 51 agents. That’s a great accomplishment within itself, however, to achieve an award like this is indefinitely gratifying.
